PN Coaching is a practice-based curriculum. Unlike many “diets”, we are going to start with simple steps forward and give you time to put them into consistent practice.
If you feel like you already know lots about nutrition, and aren’t getting the results you need, then in all likelihood the breakdown for you is in terms of consistency.
There may be a thing or two you’ll learn, but the most valuable thing that PN Coaching will bring for you is a well-paced and well-ordered curriculum to learn to build nutrition habits that you can use consistently for the rest of your life.
The program is progressive, and may feel a little “slow” to some of you. But there is a reason for that. All the information, best practices, inspirational youtube videos, clever ideas and magic formulas in the world are useless without one key ingredient: consistent practice.
Without consistency of practice you cannot make progress.
“Secret ingredient 1”: Daily Practices
Throughout the course you will be given simple daily practices that are simple and clearly laid out.
You get one practice at a time.
You get to choose how to do that task. And you tell me whether you did it or not.
You will get two weeks to practice that one task to get familiar with it.
Over time, these daily practices add up until they are seamlessly integrated into your life.
“Secret ingredient 2”: Daily Lessons
Lessons are provided nearly everyday. Audio versions of the lessons are available for you to download and listen to if you prefer.
These lessons help you to reinforce the task you are working on, but also understand your journey better.
Feeling like that the current task is extra difficult? These lessons will help ease the pain a bit, and provide you with opportunities to reflect on what your barriers to practice might be.
There is more to this course than lessons on how to cook chicken and broccoli.
We are talking about mindsets, values, self-perception, all that kind of stuff. Why? Because if you already “know” what you “should” do, and resources are not a limitation, then how you eat and how you treat your body, is invariably tied to how you think.
“Secret ingredient 3”: Training at Sublime
Exercise is a key ingredient to a healthy life. And a sound exercise program with sound exercise technique is the best way to make sure you make progress in your training life rather than run up against obstacles.
We are not a “typical” CrossFit gym. Our programming uses principles of CrossFit, but also borrows from several other schools to create three different tiers of programming catering to three different goal sets.
Do your goals align with the idea of getting leaner, more balanced in strength and fitness, and more mobile? Then Foundation is the program for you.
How does Stronger and more Powerful for your sport or job sound? Jump into Building (provided you’ve taken care of your Foundation!).
Want to do the stuff you saw at the CrossFit Games? Then (again, after taking care of your Foundation), jump into our Being stream.
“Secret ingredient 4”: Accountability
Every day you will tell me:
- did you read your lesson?
- did you do your daily practice?
Every week you’ll tell me whether or not you feel you’re going in the right direction.
And every month, you take objective and subjective measurements to track your progress toward your goals.
I will help you stay on track, answer your questions, and follow your consistency. Because I know from experience: Consistency gets results.
